Galvanization

The surface protection and galvanization plant is composed of the following lines:

  • Technological line for decorative chroming

  • Technological line for nickel coating

  • Technological line for zinc electroplating

  • Patination

  • Waste water station

  • Thermal treatment of the steel

  • Polishing

Lines for decorative chroming, nickel coating and zinc electroplating of metal parts are completely technological lines for the need of the process.

The waste water from galvanization processes is toxic and because is represent as a polluter of the environment, the water is transported to the station for the treatment of the waste water. The recipient receive the pretreated water.

The station for the waste water treatment is a plant next to the galvanization plant. It is composed of the following parts:

I.      Reaction pool

II.      building for chemicals dosing

III.      unit for sedimentation

The technological process-thermal processing of materials – steels, is a process that is in beginning phase.

The concept of thermal processing is accomplishing better properties of the steel (structure and hardness of the steel)

For thermal processing we have two types of furnaces:

I.      Vacuum furnace VTC 424R

II.      Inert furnace with oil fuel TQFEM

Some of the materials need to be polished before being galvanized, so they reach high brightness.

It is accomplished in a polishing plant, equipped with a polishing rotator with 3 drums and drying oven.

Materials for polishing are small steel elements which have to reach high brightness.
